Your privacy

Humalight is published by William de France. Contact [email protected] about your data or your purchases. This page describes the companion and the reading library, including features that are still being prepared.

Reflections

Your quiz answers stay in the current page. They are not sent to us or saved to an account. Refreshing or clearing the reflection removes them. We do not use them to diagnose you, create a psychological profile or choose advertising.

Your account and reading place

When library sign-in is available, we use your email to send a one-use sign-in link and match purchases made with that email on Gumroad. We store your account, purchase identifiers and access status, plus the chapter, paragraph and text size you last saved. We use an essential sign-in cookie lasting up to 30 days. Signing out removes that session. Login links expire after 15 minutes.

SendGrid delivers sign-in emails with open and click tracking disabled. Our Salambo server stores account and reading records in a private database and serves the website and private book content. Daily database backups are kept for 14 days. Cloudflare provides the connection and security services. Gumroad handles checkout, payment and book downloads under its own privacy terms. We do not receive your payment card details.

Optional feedback

If you choose to submit feedback, we save the book topic and the offered answers you select. Feedback asks about exercise use, helpfulness, confusion, discomfort and, for verified buyers, value for money. You can skip any item. We do not attach your email or account ID to the feedback record. Please do not send personal or medical details through this form.

Activity and technical records

The app can count reflection starts, exercise views, sample openings and purchase-link clicks by day and book. These are aggregate actions, not unique people, and are not linked to your quiz answers or account. These counts and feedback only operate when the backend is configured. Security services process connection information. To limit repeated requests, the app temporarily stores a keyed hash of the connecting IP address or email, rather than the raw address, in rate-limit records that expire within a day.

Your choices

You can use the public samples and reflections without an account. Sign-in does not subscribe you to marketing. Email us to request a copy or deletion of your account and reading data, or for help changing an email. We may need to verify your email first. Gumroad purchases and legally required transaction records are managed separately. Account data is kept while the account is in use; expired sign-in and rate-limit records are cleaned up hourly.
